Sevens Rover Vilimoni Botitu is known for his creative skills with ball in hand, his work rate and is a sure tackler. He resides in Korobebe, Nadi but is native to Yakete in Ba.

Having converted from a 15’s centre to the shorter version of the game, Botitu left a huge impression in his first season as he went on to win the DHL Impact player of the year award, a testament to his all round influence on his teams results. He was also nominated for the rookie of the year award only to be bested by Meli Derenalagi.

Looking ahead Botitu, who says he is committed to the 7’s team and has no plans on converting to 15’s, will be an integral part of the Fijian team and will no doubt be a leading contender for the Tokyo Olympics.
