Eroni Sau was first spotted by Drua coach Senirusi Seruvakula playing Sevens locally. He also has a background in Rugby League.
He was drafted into the Fijian Drua squad in 2017 before being picked up by Sevens coach Gareth Baber.
Sau burst onto the Sevens scene and quickly earning the nickname “The Sledgehammer” for his brutal hits in defense. With the ball he is also very capable and has proven excellent finishing and tackle breaking abilities.
Eroni now plays alongside Viliame Mata at Edinburgh in the Pro 14.
