Elusive young fullback Osea Waqa is one of the best young prospects to graduate from the Fiji Under 20’s system. Raised in Namotomoto, Nadi he is known for his athleticism, elusiveness and game awareness.
Although a gifted runner, Waqa is also a great support player, he showcases great positional play and field awareness. You will often find him on the hip of the forwards anticipating the offload.
Waqa was also part of the Fijian Drua side in 2019 and was rewarded for his hard work with a Flying Fijians senior jersey at the back end of the year in a match against the Barbarians.
Osea certainly is one to look out for in the future. He has just signed a professional contract with French side Castres Olympique in the top 14.
