After 3 seasons with Waikato in the Mitre 10 Cup, Sevu signed with Canterbury Crusaders as injury cover and after a season ending injury to fellow Fijian Manasa Mataele, Reece made his debut putting in a near man on of the match performance.

The rest of the season would only get better for Reece as he would score 15 tries to be crowned top try-scorer and Rookie of the year. To top that all off Sevu made his All-Blacks debut and was their starting winger at the 2019 World Cup.

One door closes, another opens

In 2018, Sevu Reece signed with Connacht for the 2018/2019 Pro 14 Season. Connacht pulled out of the deal due to an off-field incident. Sevu would then join the Crusaders the following year. A year in which he was Super Rugby Top Try-Scorer and Rookie of the year. He would also finish off the year an All-Black and a World Cup player.

Rookie Stars

In his Rookie year (2019) Sevu was the Super Rugby top-tryscorer. In the same year Rookie Eels winger Maika Sivo was also the top tryscorer in the NRL.
