Beziers ended their 4 match losing streak against Brive in round 11 with a 25-17 win.

Aminiasi Tuimaba again was strong for the home side, proving to be one of their most dangerous players. His home crowd also getting behind the Yasawa native with every carry.

He made a linebreak in the 30th minute right down the centre of the field which nearly ended in what would have been one of the tries of the season after he chipped ahead for his teammate who was tackled a metre out from scoring.

A match high 101 metres from 9 carries, 1 linebreak and 3 defenders beaaten.

Aminiasi Tuimaba brought a little extra physicality in week 10 as Beziers needed to turn things around, coming into this game with 3 straight defeats.

The Yasawa native, whilst he didn’t get many opportunities due to his team’s ineffectiveness in attack, squandering good field position through mistakes, he did however make his presence felt in defence with a couple of big hits.

He did beat 6 defenders, mostly through 1 kick return where he cut across field and broke through the defence.

Beziers scored only 1 try in the end and suffered their 4th consecutive loss 23-8.

They sit at a lowly 13th position now and host Brive next Friday night.

Aminiasi Tuimaba started on the wing for Beziers in their round 3 clash with Aurillac. He made the most carries for his side with 9, gaining 45 metres, making 2 offloads and beating 3 defenders.

It’s been a quiet opening to the season for the former Flying Fijian representative. Surprisingly Beziers were beaten in this game 24-49.
