North Harbour Hooker Penaia Cakobau scored a stunning try in the closing minutes of their loss to the Mako.
Channelling his inner-winger, he ran 50 metres, evading a couple of defenders and showed great footwork and pace to score his first try in the NPC.
Cakobau has played every match so far this season but is yet to taste victory with North Harbour who have lost every match including Saturday afternoon's 19-43 loss to Tasman.
Fiji suffered a heavy defeat in their opening Women's Rugby World Cup match this morning with Canada 7-65.
Up Against the world's number 2 ranked side, Fiji really struggled to contain the far more clinical and methodical Canadian outfit.
Down 24-0 at the break, they scored early through Kolora Lomani but that would be their only 5 pointer for the afternoon.

The visitors were too strong, holding the home side tryless 42-6. Christa Powell (pictured) started at Centre while Waisea Nayacalevu did not play. Masivesi Dakuwaqa came off the bench for Nice.
In other matches Joel Matavesi made his National 1 debut for Bressane, starting at Centre in their loss to Chambery 13-34.
Former Perpignan Centre Api Naqaliva started at 12 in his debut while Iliavi Nasova started on the wing, also on debut. Narbonne defeated Massy 23-17.
Bulldogs second rower Viliame Kikau scored his 50th NRL try on Friday night.
Coming off a heavy loss to the Roosters, the visitors had a point to prove and it didn't look promising early on but they eventually fought their way back into the game, losing only by a converted try in the end 14-20.
Kikau scored in the 56th minute after receiving an offload from Marcelo Montoya who was making his return from a neck injury.
Canterbury are still yet to taste defeat in 2025 after an impressive 26-7 win on the road against Hawkes Bay.
Winger Chay Fihaki was prominent in the match, scoring a try and kicking 3 conversions.
He also made the most metres in the match with 88 metres from 14 carries, 4 linebreaks and a match high 7 defenders beaten.
Fellow Fijian Manasa Mataele also crossed for a 5 pointer in the 32nd minute.

MLR Player of the year Paula Balekana has signed with the Northland Taniwha for the remainder of the 2025 NPC season.
He last featured in the competition in 2023 for Hawkes Bay.
Kaminieli Raivono has ended his time at Albi. The 29 year old Centre played 2 seasons, accumulating 17 matches and 3 tries over that period.
No new club has been confirmed.
Joel Matavesi has signed with National 1 club Bressane for 2 years, leaving the English rugby system after nearly a decade. It also marks his first venture into French rugby.
Ratu Meli Turagaca has signed with Bourgoin for the upcoming National 1 season, with another 1 year option.
Turagaca is a Lock who previously played for the Kaiviti Silktails, New Zealand grade competitions and recently in Georgia’s top division.
