Penrith Panthers go-to man Viliame Kikau was scouted by the North Queensland Cowboys after representing the Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby Union team in 2013. Kikau signed with the club and would join their NYC (Under 20’s) side for the 2014 season.
Although he played at centre in Rugby Union, he made a switch to prop forward in the 13 man game where he played 21 games in his first season of Rugby League scoring 11 tries along the way.

2015 was when Kikau forced people to take notice after scoring 21 tries in 21 games for the Cowboys NYC side, putting him second overall with only 1 try off the leader and to do it from the front row was even more remarkable.
In that same season he made his international debut for the Fiji Bati and was named in the NYC team of the year.
In 2016 he joined the Penrith Panthers and in 2017 he made his NRL debut in Round 2, scoring a try with his first touch. He helped the Panthers NSW Cup side win the NSW Cup at the end of the season and also was one of the Fiji Bati’s best at the Rugby League World Cup.
From 2018 onwards the Bau native would go on to become one of the best and most feared forwards in the game. He has been a major part of the Panthers return to the top of the NRL forcing opposition coaches to strategize their defense around him.
In 2022 he is off contract and will demand top dollar as it’s being reported the Panthers cannot afford to keep him beyond his current contract.
Kikau attended Queen Victoria School and Marist Brothers. He was born in Nausori and his family hail from Bau.
Clermont winger Alivereti Raka has scored 7 tries in the 2022/2023 Top 14 Season and 1 in the Champions Cup.
