A powerful and destructive ball runner with a big future. Seru joined La Rochelle after a stint with the Kaiviti Silktails and in the coming season will line up for Mont de Marsan as part of a loan deal.
Tomasi Seru scored his first Pro D2 try for Mont de Marsan who ran rampant over Nevers 71-10.
After some great leadup work, Seru received the ball about 10 metres out from the opposition tryline with nowhere to go so he put in a little grubber for himself and touched down whilst keeping his feet above the touch-in-goal line. He had another opportunity to score at the death but dropped the ball with the line begging.
Nonetheless it was a solid performance in what was the home side’s biggest and best result of the season.
Tomasi Seru made his official debut for Mont de Marsan, starting on the wing in their opening round loss to Colomiers.
He made 5 carries for 30 metres and 6 tackles defensively.
Tomasi Seru joins Mont de Marsan next Pro D2 season after it was revealed he has been loaned from La Rochelle.
Earmarked for big things, Seru has been stuck behind more established players and will get some valuable game time with a strong club next season.
