Perigueux win 3 straight
CA Perigueux won their third straight match after defeating Bressane 28-10.
Centre Fred Hickes scored his 3rd try of the season and 2nd in as many games in the 74th minute when he powered through several defenders from close range.
They move into 3rd on the National 1 ladder after 10 rounds, a single point behind joint leaders Nice and Narbonne.
Dax move from bottom of ladder
Dax are finally off the bottom of the Pro D2 ladder, leapfrogging their opponents Carcassonne following their 19-0 shut-out win.
Winger Jope Naseara scored in the 26th minute after scooting from the base of the ruck. It's his 3rd five pointer this season.
They have an opportunity to get their season back on track with somewhat favourable matchups coming up in Biarritz and Mont de Marsan.
Oyonnax big winners over Soyaux
Oyonnax were big winners on Friday night, defeating the in-form Soyaux 50-21.
Hooker Peniami Narisia broke away from a lineout maul in the 59th minute to score a try.
Former Fijian Drua Lock Leone Rotuisolia also made his return from injury, his first match since his debut in round 3.
Hickes scores in Perigueux win over Suresnes
Perigueux made it back-to-back wins after beating Suresnes on their own turf 20-9.
Winger Fred Hickes scored his 2nd try of the season just before halftime. He took a quick tap after a penalty and thanks to some retreating offside defenders, found himself in space and dotted down under the posts.
Perigueux move into 4th position while Suresnes drop to 9th spot.
Bayonne hit back with resounding win over Montauban
After a disappointing loss to Bordeaux last week, Bayonne came roaring back with a demolition of Montauban 49-7.
Centre Sireli Maqala scored his 4th try of the season in the 55th minute after a perfectly timed inside ball found the Flying Fijians rep who sliced between two defenders with nothing but clear space in front of him.
Bayonne jump up 2 spots following the win into 4th position.
Naqalevu powerful in Narbonne victory
Apisai Naqalevu put in a five star performance for National 1 leaders Narbonne on Saturday night against Albi.
He scored a try and set up another in a barnstorming display of power and skill.
It's his first try for the club and it came in the 30th minute when he broke through the line and beat several defenders on a 20 metre run.
Through 6 matches for his new club, the former Perpignan Centre is yet to taste defeat. Final score 27-23.
Turagaca scores winner for Bourgoin
Bourgoin's 7 match losing stream came to an end, surprisingly on the road against the much fancied Rouen and it was their impressive new backrower Meli Turagaca who scored the winning try in the 70th minute.
Their only win up until this point came in the opening round, a long time between drinks.
On debut for the visitors was former Nimes Flyer Saimone Qeleca who started on the wing. It's his first appearance in the National 1.
Toulon flex muscles against Lyon
Toulon returned to the winners circle with a rampant win over Lyon 54-21. The home side has yet to put consecutive wins together since the opening fortnight of the season but they were in fine form against a Lyon side heading into the game with consecutive defeats.
Winger Setariki Tuicuvu scored his first try of the season in the 49th minute when he chased through on a short grubber, kicked ahead and regathered, running the rest of the way to score untouched.
Jiuta Wainiqolo also scored for the visitors and had an early intercept try disallowed which resulted in a yellow card for being in an off-side position. Both players will join the Flying Fijians in their preparations for their test match against England next weekend.
Perpignan fall short of first win
Perpignan suffered their 9th consecutive loss, this time against Pau 27-23.
Winger Tavite Veredamu scored his first try of their campaign in the 46th minute in their attempt to overcome a 16 point deficit.
Despite scoring the last 10 points of the game, they ultimately fell short by 4 points.
Young Flyer makes Pro D2 debut
Former Fiji U20s rep Avakuki Niusalelekitoga made his Pro D2 debut on Thursday night for Soyaux in their home win over Grenoble.
Entering the match in the 62nd minute, he didn't see much in terms of attack as his side battled hard to hold their lead. He made 2 crucial tackles including a tackle which forced a mistake.
Soyaux won the match after a tense final few minutes 34-28.
