Jiuta Wainiqolo scored another superb solo try for Lyon in their round 8 home loss to La Rochelle.
Only 2 minutes into the game, Lyon spread the ball left and with nowhere to go, Wainiqolo chipped over his opposing winger and beat cover defender to the ball, scoring under the posts to open the scoring.
His 2nd try came in the 20th minute, touching down on a ball that came spitting out the side of a ruck right on the opposition tryline.
Despite their efforts however the visitors just had a little too much class in the end, La Rochelle taking the points 36-19.
After a winless fortnight, Lyon bounced back with a big win over the struggling Perpignan.
Jiuta Wainiqolo started on the wing and scored his first of 2 tries in the 55th minute when he finished off an attacking raid close to the opposition tryline.
His 2nd 5 pointer came late in the match, an opportunist try where he pounced on a loose pass and in one motion skipped past a defender and ran the best part of 50 metres to score.
Lyon were too good for USAP, winning 44-19.
Jiuta Wainiqolo made his competitive debut for Lyon in their trip to Montauban.
Up against a packed stadium and a hostile home crowd hoping to push USM to their first Top 14 victory, Lyon managed to hold off the fired up Montauban to win 25-18.
Wainiqolo went on a trademark run, stepping and evading defenders, stopped only metres out from the tryline. A quick recycle and Iosefo Masi was sent over untouched for his first 5 pointer in the Top 14.
Wainiqolo would later score himself on another brilliant sideline dash, beating multiple defenders. He would finish the afternoon with a match high 142 metres and 5 defenders beaten, largely from his 2 big contributions.
Jiuta Wainiqolo scored another brilliant try, this time for Fiji against Scotland and also in front of his home fans in Suva.
He received an inside ball from Caleb Muntz, broke through the first line then beat 2 more defenders in a dazzling show of speed and footwork.
Broke the 150 metre barrier from 10 carries, made 4 linebreaks and beat 8 defenders – all game highs.
His popularity would have also taken a huge boost with his highlights over the last 2 weeks in particular going viral.

Lyon flyer Jiuta Wainiqolo scored 2 tries for Lyon in their big win over Perpignan 44-19.
His first came in the 50th minute when he finished off a backline movement and in the the 75th minute he pounced on a loose pass, skipped past the first defender in the same movement and ran 50 metres to score another superb try.
He finished the game with a match high 133 metres, 3 linebreaks and 4 defenders beaten along with his double.
Jiuta Wainiqolo made his official debut for Lyon in their round 2 clash against Montauban. He set up a try for Iosefo Masi who was also on debut.
In typical Wainiqolo fashion, he beat several defenders, weaving through traffic and brought down 10 metres out, two passes right and Masi had his first Top 14 5 pointer.
Wainiqolo would then score his own try 20 minutes later, outpacing his winger and beating the fullback with his footwork, running the best part of 60 metres to score.
He ran for a match high 142 metres and beat the most defenders with 5.
Montauban winger Josua Vici also had a big game for the home side, making 100 metres, scoring a try and being impactful with every run, even making positive impacts defensively.
The Flying Fijians have defeated Scotland in Suva 29-14. In a memorable day for the men in white, they scored 3 tries and were awarded a penalty try while Caleb Muntz kicked penalty goal.
Scotland started both halves strong, scoring both their tries in the first 5 minutes of each half. But once Fiji started gaining momentum, they visitors struggled to keep up at times.
Tevita Ikanivere scored Fiji's first try through a lineout maul before Kalaveti Ravouvou finished off a clinical backline move to dot down in the right corner.
In the second half it was in-form winger Jiuta Wainiqolo who broke through, beat several defenders before scoring a brilliant try.
Whilst Fiji will take the win, their were several tryscoring opportunities gone begging.
The Flying Fijians battled from 14-nil down to lead 15-14 in the 2nd half of their opening test match against the Wallabies. Jiuta Wainiqolo set up both Fiji's tries including a trademark linebreak where he beat several defenders on a 70 metre run to set up Lekima Tagitagivalu in the corner.
Fiji looked to have scored through Sireli Maqala minutes later if not for the TMO intervening.
The winning try came in the 78th minute. The Wallabies winning 21-18.
Toulon's season came to an end this morning after losing their Semi Final against Bordeaux 24-39.
The visitors trailed 10-15 at the break but Bordeaux pulled away in the 2nd half and had too much class in the end.
Setariki Tuicuvu scored Toulon's final try in the 61st minute when he crashed onto a ball, running a great line to score. He also made a linebreak in the first half, one of the few times they broke the defensive line.
Toulon are headed to the Top 14 Semi Finals after beating Castres 52-23 in their Quarter Final. Winger Jiuta Wainiqolo set up a try after another amazing run while Setariki Tuicuvu also had a try assist through an offload.
Wainiqolo got his own 5 pointer right at the death to take the score past 50.
While the scoreline suggests a comfortable win for the home side, the match remained close up until the final 15 minutes. Toulon face Bordeaux next weekend.
