The Bati defeated the Kiwis at the same stage of the 2017 World Cup. The match will be played at 7.30am Sunday morning Fiji time.

Fiji lost the match 24-16 but not without a fight. The Bati exceeded expectations and led for most of the match but conceded a controversial penalty that lead to the Kiwis taking the lead in the 70th minute. Turuva was a standout and stalwarts Naiqama and Sims signed off with big performances.

Coach Vern Cotter making a big call putting Botitu at flyhalf. An exciting prospect for Fiji fans who have been calling for the Castres centre to be given an opportunity in that position. Rotuisolia, Natave & Maqala make their international debuts. The match will be played at 1am Sunday morning Fiji time.

Not Fiji’s finest performance in a game that was there to be won. Rotuisolia scored a try on debut but also spent 10 minutes in the sin bin early in the match. He was later named in the Autumn Nations team of the week. Murimurivalu left the field with injury in the first half and was replaced by Maqala.
