Rouen – Benito Masilevu 11 | Biarritz – Johnny Dyer 4

6th placed Rouen play 5th placed Biarritz. Masilevu has started the season well starting in all 6 games he has played. Dyer will join the Flying Fijians squad after this match.

Provence – Luke Tagi 3 | Montauban – Semesa Rokoduguni 14, Epeli Momo 19

Montauban coming off 4 losses in a row.

Colomiers – Peni Rokoduguni 22 | Soyaux – Kaminieli Raivono 14, Ledua Mau 22

Oyonnax – Gabiriele Lovobalavu 12, Joe Ravouvou 14 vs Carcassonne

Ravouvou returns. He has scored 2 tries in his 5 matches this season.

Aurillac – Christa Powell 12 | Beziers – Watisoni Votu 14

Powell has started the season well starting 4 of the 6 matches he has played.

Agen – Kolinio Ramoka 12, Tevita Railevu 14 vs Vannes

Top 14 Round 9 Oct 29-30

Castres – Josaia Raisuqe 7, Filipo Nakosi 11, Vilimoni Botitu 12, Adrea Cocagi 13, Leone Nakarawa 19 | Clermont – Alivereti Raka 11, Apisai Naqaliva 12

Naqaliva returns for his first match this season. Castres have named all 5 Fijians with Raisuqe starting his second straight match.

Cocagi was yellow carded in the 49th minute. Castres winners 26-22.

Brive – Setariki Tuicuvu 13, Mesulame Kunavula 19 | Racing – Inia Tabuavou 21

Kunavula’s move to the Top 14 seems to be the best thing for him as he has played in both games since arriving and signed a 3 year contract after initially being there for injury cover. Tuicuvu will join the test squad after this match.

A high scoring match won by Racing 43-38. Tuicuvu was yellow carded in the 43rd minute.

Lyon – Temo Mayanavanua 5, Josua Tuisova 11 @ Perpignan

Tuisova scored in the 55th minute. Perpignan won this match 28-21.

La Rochelle – Levani Botia 12 | Pau – Lekima Tagitagivalu 4

Bayonne – Eneriko Buliruarua 12, Sireli Maqala 13 | Toulouse – Eto Bainivalu 20*

Bayonne taking on league leaders Toulouse who have only lost 1 match this season. Buliruarua returns and it’s the first time he will pair up with Maqala as starting centres.
Exciting news as Bainivalu a possible debutant should he take the field. A real talent who has been with Toulouse academy for a couple seasons now.

Bainivalu came on in the 71st minute as a replacement. Bayonne won the match 26-22.

Saracens – Eroni Mawi 1 vs Sale

Mawi returns for Saracens. The loosehead prop has been in fine form this season and will look to carry that form into the international arena.

Bressane – Kavekini Tabu 11 | Stade Nicois – Sunia Vola 1

Tabu scored his first try in the Nat 1 when he crossed in the 1st minute of the match.

Dax – Ilikena Bolakoro 12 @ Albi

Tarbes – Josaia Vakacegu 12, Trevor Seuvou 20 | Bourgoin – Kemueli Lavetanakoroi 19

Valence – Ben Neiceru 12 vs Suresnes

Chambery – Mosese Mawalu 11, Vereniki Goneva 12 | Narbonne – Save Totovosau 14

Totovosau returns for Narbonne. He has 1 try in his sole match this season.

Mawalu scored a hat-trick in this match making it 4 tries in his last 2 games.

Cognac – Jone Tuva 11, Eneri Lotawa 13, Jone Naulunisau 19, Isimeli Kuruibua 22 vs Carqueiranne-Hyères

Kuruibua was yellow carded in the 75th minute. Cognac lost 25-28.

United Rugby Round Round 7 Oct 28-31

Edinburgh – Viliame Mata 8 @ Cardiff

Super Cup Round 6 Oct 30-31

Tel Aviv – Sailasa Turagaluvu 5, Jasa Veremalua 8, Jone Manu 13, Peceli Nacebe 15, Semi Kunatani 20, Nemani Buliruarua 23

Turagaluvu and Buliruarua return after missing the last match. Nacebe at fullback for the first time this season.

Big win for Tel Aviv who are through to the Semi Finals with a 55-5 victory. Nacebe scored in the 5th minute. A superb 45 metre run from a kick return. Veremalua off a rolling maul powered over in the 14th minute before Manu scored his first try for the club when he sliced through in the 30th.
Manu hobbled off with a lower leg issue in the 59th minute as did Nacebe in the 66th minute.

Internationals Oct 30

Australia – Rob Valetini 8, Langi Gleeson 20* @ Scotland

Langi Gleeson was a late addition to the side and made his debut when he came off the bench in the second half. The Wallabies got away with a 1 point win 16-15. Scotland missed a kickable penalty in the 38th minute.

Japan – Michael Leitch 6 | All-Blacks – George Bower 1, Hoskins Sotutu 8, Sevu Reece 14

Sotutu and Reece both scored tries for the All-Blacks who won the match 38-31.

Fiji should be wary coming into this game. In 2008 Fiji lost to Scotland in a big upset. Tui Kamikamica out suspended for 1 match. Toloi set for his debut.
This seems to be Fiji’s strongest spine moving forward. Another match to solidify those combinations heading into the knockout stages.

Fiji won the match 3-14. Wasn’t convincing and they had many opportunities to score more tries but they got the job done and now have the task of tackling heavyweights New Zealand in the Quarter Finals.
