RWC Final Pool Matches

Fijiana – Iris Verebalavu 1, Vika Matarugu 2, Siteri Rasolea 3, Asinate Serevi 4 (c), Merevesi Ofakimalino 5, Karalaini Naisewa 6, Raijieli Daveua 7, Sereima Leweniqila 8, Ana Maria Roqica 9, Kolora Lomani 10, Vitalina Naikore 11, Sesenieli Donu 12, Melaia Matanatabu 13, Raijieli Laqeretabua 14, Roela Radiniyavuni 15 Bench – Bitila Tawake 16, Bolou Vasuturaga 17, Mereoni Namositava 18, Sulita Waisega 19, Ema Adivitaloga 20, Lavena Cavuru 21, Rusila Nagasau 22, Talei Wilson 23

Few changes here. Big loss is usual fly-half Merewalesi Rokouono who went off injured in their last match. Leweniqila comes back into the side moving Naisewa to flanker. Serevi captains the side again. Lomani at fly-half from her usual wing position and Laqeretabua on the wing from here usual centre spot. Nagasau will also make her World Cup debut in this match should she come on as a replacement.

A mistake riddled match by Fijiana who faced a stern defensive side who analysed Fiji’s strengths and found solutions but in the end a performance below their standard for our women who finish off their first ever World Cup with 1 win and 2 losses. Not bad for their first outing considering those 2 losses were to 2 of the top 4 ranked sides.

Sera Naiqama rested after playing previous 2 matches.

Batibasaga scored the Wallaroos only try. They won the match 13-7 and will play England in the Quarter Finals.
