An entertaining, high scoring affair. Japan XV won 52-48. Nawaqanitawase & Vunivalu both heavily involved.

Pro D2 Round 7 Oct 13-14

Rouen – Benito Masilevu 11 vs Mont de Marsan

Masilevu scored his first try of the season in this match. No Wame Naituvi, Nacani Wakaya or Misaele Petero for Mont de Marsan.

Oyonnax – Gabiriele Lovobalavu 12 vs Vannes

Soyaux – Nasoni Naqiri 13 vs Carcassonne

Naqiri returns after being rested last week while Sikeli Nabou, Kaminieli Raivono & Ledua Mau rested this week.

Beziers – Watisoni Votu 22 @ Massy

No Uwa Tawalo for Massy.

Colomiers – Peni Rokoduguni 22 vs Uson Nevers

Alivereti Loaloa sits this one out after playing the last 4 matches for Nevers.

Aurillac – Christa Powell 22 | Montauban – Semesa Rokoduguni 14

Josua Vici & Epeli Momo rested for Montauban.

Rasaku will make his Pro debut in this match. His first task is the powerhouse Filipo Nakosi. Sireli Maqala rested after playing every match thus far.

Rasaku scored on his debut. He caught a crossfield kick and beat 2 defenders to score. He was also yellow carded late in the match. Cocagi scored his 3rd try of the season for Castres who won 39-22.

Josua Tuisova rested for Lyon, Masivesi Dakuwaqa for Montpellier.

Pau – Jale Vatubua 12, Lekima Tagitagivalu 18 | Stade Francais – Sefa Naivalu 13

Vatubua returns to the side after being rested last weekend.

Wainiqolo returns after sitting out last weeks match.

London Irish – Api Ratuniyarawa 4 @ Sale Sharks

Gloucester – Albert Tuisue 20 vs Bristol

Northampton – Sam Matavesi 2 | Newcastle – George Wacokecoke 23

Matavesi scored in the 12th minute while Wacokecoke scored in the 70th minute. Northampton held on to win 32-31.

Leicester – Nemani Nadolo 23 @ Harlequins

Saracens – Eroni Mawi 1 | Bath – Joe Cokanasiga 14

Mawi starts his second match of the year. Cokanasiga has been in good form despite Bath not winning a match.

Cokanasiga scored his 3rd try of the season. Bath finished strong but were beaten 37-31.

United Rugby Round 5 Oct 15-16

Edinburgh – Viliame Mata 8 | Benetton – Iliesa Ratuva 11

Ratuva returns for Benetton. Mesulame Kunavula & Lee Roy Atalifo yet to play this season for Edinburgh.

RWC Women Pools Round 2

Australia – Sera Naiqama 4, Iliseva Batibasaga 9 vs Scotland

New Zealand – Tanya Kalounivale 3 vs Wales

Kalounivale makes her World Cup debut.

Fiji – Iris Verebalavu, Vika Matarugu, Siteri Rasolea, Asinate Serevi (c), Merevesi Ofakimalino, Sulita Waisega, Raijeli Daveua, Karalaini Naisewa, Lavena Cavuru, Merewalesi Rokouono, Ilisapeci Dalewau, Sesenieli Donu, Talei Wilson, Akanisi Sokoiwasa, Roela Radiniyavuni Bench: Bitila Tawake, Bulou Vasutaraga, Mereoni Namositava, Joma Rubuti, Ema Adivitaloga, Kolora Lomani, Ana Maria Naimasi, Timaima Ravisa.

Serevi will captain the side for the first time. 8 changes made to the side that lost to England.

A thrilling match. Fijiana won their first ever World Cup match. After leading most of the game they conceded a 77th minute penalty which looked to have been enough for South Africa to win but one final surge from the girls and a barnstorming run from player of the match Siteri Rasolea ended with a try under the posts to Karalaini Naisewa. Fiji win 21-17.

RLWC Opening Weekend Oct 15-16

The Bati have been hit hard with injury. Still a quality outfit to tackle the Worlds best.

Fiji started strong with Semi Valemei scoring the first try. They blew a few golden opportunities and eventually the class of Australia took over. Kangaroos 42-8. Sunia Turuva scored Fiji’s second try.

NPC Semi Finals Oct 14-15

Auckland – Alex Hodgman 1, Soane Vikena 2 @ Wellington

Wellington far too strong winning 54-19.

Canterbury – Manasa Mataele 14, Chay Fihaki 15 | Bay of Plenty – Emoni Narawa 15, Haereiti Hetet 17, Etonia Waqa 19, Veveni Lasaqa 20

Waqa plays his 2nd match of the season. Canterbury are favourites to progress to the final.

Canterbury won 24-10 and will host Wellington in the final.

Super Cup Round 4 Oct 16

Tel Aviv – Semi Kunatani 7, Jasa Veremalua 8, Nemani Buliruarua 12, Jone Manu 13, Peceli Nacebe 23

Tel Aviv won the match 24-18. No Sailasa Turagaluvu this week.
