Born in Nukuilau, Navosa, Sevu is one of three brothers in the Fiji Sevens squad for the 2019/2020 World Sevens. He is one of the leaders in the squad and barring injury or suspension, will demand a spot for the Tokyo Olympics later this year.
Mocenacagi is known for his aggressive tackling and ability to offload. He constantly breaks the line and can play both as a Sevens forward or in the backs.
