Former Wallabies lock and loose forward Radike Samo is known for his athleticism, speed, bruising defense and having a big motor. The decorated Viseisei native cuts an imposing figure on the field and thrilled crowds for over a decade at the top of his game. He is the oldest player to ever play for the Wallabies in a Tr-Nations match (35)
Embed from Getty ImagesSamo, who was raised in his mothers village in Narewa, Nadi first made a name for himself with the Brumbies in the early 2000’s showing his wingers speed whilst playing lock, ultimately earning selection for the Wallabies. He won Super Rugby Championships with the franchise in 2001 and 2004. He won a 3rd title in 2011 with the Qld Reds and a Top 14 title in 2007 with French side Stade Francais.
In one of his most memorable moments, Samo scored a 60 metre try against the All-Blacks that was named the IRB try of the year for 2011.
