Former skipper Netani Talei’s top grade career began in 2006 when he was selected for the Fiji national team to play Samoa. Following that he was snapped up by English club Doncaster Knights.
Embed from Getty ImagesTalei represented Fiji at the 2007, 2011 and 2015 World Cups. He is known for his aggression, hard running and leadership qualities. He was a regular in the Fiji team for over a decade, making 33 appearances in that time.
In 2017, Netani retired from first grade rugby due to ongoing injuries.
