New England Freejacks fullback Josateki Degei is known for his running game and athleticism. He is also a very capable goal kicker.
The tall, rangy Nadroga native represented Namosi in the 2020 Skipper Cup before being signed by Major League Rugby club New England Freejacks for the 2021 season.
He attended Ratu Kadavulevu School and was part of their 2015 Deans Trophy Champion side which included Queensland Reds lock Seru Uru. He represented the Fiji Under 20’s in 2017 and the Fiji Warriors from 2018-2019.
He also was a part of the Fijian Latui Global Rapid Rugby squad.
Degei’s family hail from Toga, Nagalimare and his cousin is Semi Kunatani.
