Another solid performance from Elia Canakaivata in Fiji’s win over Scotland. Starting at openside flanker again, he was strong with ball in hand, gaining precious metres and getting Fiji on the front foot.
Defensively he was menace in the rucks and also forced 2 turnovers.
Elia Canakaivata was one of Fiji’s best in their loss to Australia. He started at Openside Flanker and was great on attack, getting over the gainline and was a rock defensively.
He made a couple of crucial cover tackles stopping the Wallabies on attack.
Overall 10 carries for 44 metres, the most of any Fijian forward, 18 tackles from 20 attempts and won 1 turnover.
It was definitely his best performance at test level at a position more suitable to his skillset.
