In 2007 a young Akapusi Qera put his name in lights after a string of impressive performances, especially against Wales and South Africa. Qera scored the first try in Fiji’s famous win over Wales and was named man of the match.

The former Suva-Grammar student played a lengthy career in France and the UK, his best years from 2007 through to 2015 where he captained the Fiji side at the 2015 RWC. He’s played at three world cups and he currently holds the record for most games as captain.

Qera was named in our top 10 flankers from 2010-2019. He was also a part of the victorious Montpellier ERC Champions in 2016.
