Over the last 30 years there is no bigger name in Fiji Rugby than Waisale Serevi. The former Fiji Sevens captain and playmaker is widely regarded as the greatest player in Sevens history.

His commitment, dedication, work ethic bundled in with all his athletic ability and style, pushed him to the top of his craft where he maintained his brilliance right throughout his lengthy career.
Commentators often struggled to find new superlatives to describe the Gau native and he was known as many things including “The Wizard, Little Magician” and of course “King Of Sevens”.
Serevi first appeared for Fiji as a 20 year old at the 1989 Hong Kong Sevens, a place where he would come to love and dominate over the next 15 years.

The Sevens Wizard also represented Fiji in 15’s and played at three World Cups starting in 1991 and then again in 1999 and 2003.
Serevi was inducted into the Rugby Hall of Fame in 2013 and is the first Fijian to do so.
He now lives in Seattle and is a full time coach and adviser. There have also been rumours that he is looking to return to coach the Fiji side yet again.
